They decide to brainstorm a book together to submit for the contest. Luz aspires to write a story and inspire her readers, while King seeks to hold power over them. When the pair walks around, they stumble across a Writing Competition, which sparks both King and Luz's attention - but for different reasons. Meanwhile, Eda walks around searching for dwellers to "pickpocket." Eda and King seem uninterested, but Luz is able to convince King to give the fair a shot after allowing him to walk around in her hoodie. At seemingly perfect timing, Luz appears, excited to tell the two about the Book Fair happening nearby. To their dismay, there's little to no customers interested in what they have to sell. This may be my own anxiety talking, but I love her self-confidence, how she runs toward every dangerous challenge. Luz is spunky, kind, and brave - almost to a fault. The school bell gives a full-throated scream instead of ringing, and it makes me laugh every. There's a bizarreness to the animation style and monsters, some gross moments, and plenty of raw chaotic energy that keep Owl House from being all sweetness and fluff like, say, Hilda. So this past month I finally started the series on Disney Plus, and ahhhh. She told me she was Edalyn from the series "Owl House," and IMO any show with a staff that gorgeous deserves a watch.
